Do you have any audio encoders installed on your computer?

Try removing all of your audio codecs except for any ones related to your computer using your speakers (if this is a desktop).

You said yourself that your computer is getting really slow. Unless you fix it, nothing can be really done at this point.

I think a lot of it was to do with the god knows how many programs I had but didn't need.
