What has CoD to do with the Wii U? Just because little kids destroyed it and wow you can't just tell those who play it to get out of the internet(I am not playing CoD btw before you throw shit at me)
"This is the newest generation of gaming and the wii u is the lowest of price, so get with it or stay behind with your GameCube."
Gamecube has some nice games though like Wind Waker and stuff.
"Oh come on, it's time to put away your wii and buy a wii u. This is a dumb reason as even though new consoles get more expensive as they progress, and having lots of systems you won't be playing all at once doesn't mean you have to not get a wii u, or any current gen system for that matter."
What.

Wikipedia wrote: With Mario Kart 8 being Nintendo's biggest game launch in all of Wii U history to date, Wii U console sales reportedly increased by 666% in the United Kingdom, with the Mario Kart 8 console bundle representing 82% of the region's Wii U console sales for the week.

So either the Wii U was an ultra-fail in the UK or it's a typo, OR Nintendo has signed a contract with the devil to get the Wii U sales up.

I don't really blame Nintendo for only releasing their games on their own consoles. I mean, Microsoft does this too with the Halo series. It's a compelling reason to buy a Wii U (or Xbone in Microsoft's case) and great games sell systems, as we see with Mario Kart 8's release. They need to keep their games on their own consoles, or stop making consoles altogether and sell their games exclusively on the other consoles to stay relevant.

The only reason I will ever get a Nintendo system is for Mario Kart and Smash Bros. Sure, those Mario games look fun enough, but they're not exciting enough to go out and buy a whole new game console.
Nintendo seriously needs to start releasing their first party games as ports for the ps4 and xbone, hell maybe even steam. It just feels like Nintendo's so far behind in the latest gaming trends it'll hardly seem relevant anymore
Either they launch a groundbreaking new console that has the same technological specs as other new-gen consoles, or loosen their vicegrip on their first party franchises
I strongly disagree. Why release their first parties on another system? Sure, people will know they will be playing a great, classic, Nintendo game, but the system itself will be getting the profit for the game.

How do they profit if the game is made from Nintendo they wouldn't get the full thing anyway it's not like they get profit out of a game nintendoo made lol.

Because the company who made the console that is having the nintendo game ported to will be getting the money for the game.

I don't think you understand how all of this works. Please do some research before making things up.

That's very flawed logic. They're not going to port their games because the hardware business is still profitable in the long run. 3DS is skyrocketing in sales and Wii U will catch up eventually. Plus I'm pretty sure Wii U isn't very far behind its competitor.

Nintendo porting their games is a bad idea that they will likely not ever go with anyway. I've always liked the fact that Nintendo keeps all of their stuff on their own consoles.
Also, I wouldn't say they're "far behind in gaming trends" at all. Sure, they don't release NewYorkShooter2021 every five minutes, but that's a trend that's neither one they need to follow nor one that is putting them behind.

To me, plenty of gaming trends are awful and misdirected.
Call me subjective, but I tend to have a low opinion of achievements, DLC, uncreative third party developers, graphical power being more important than gameplay, ass-end-of-Hollywood-level storytelling being more important than gameplay, mass-marketing strategies being more important than gameplay... you take the bad with the good.
There are, of course, the gems that stand out on every console, but I'd feel insulted by the more prevalent ridiculous attitudes in game development that I generally trust Nintendo, and a few other individual designers and companies, not to resort to.
What am I likely to buy for PS4? The Last Guardian (assuming it's ever finished, though my expectations are admittedly high for a game that has likely suffered from poor funding and a lack of ideas for a long time for a reason), and this Bloodborne game that I'm mostly just intrigued about and can't be sure if I will.
Nintendo is not without its flaws, of course. Skyward Sword nearly had me ripping my brain out through my nose with the frustrations with its hand-holding. At least the lack of a brain would have helped me enjoy it.
For another, Nintendo's necessity for quality assurance and its lack of compatibility between Wii and Wii U is causing the latter's eShop to roll out new titles very slowly. Though they claimed that they would address this compatibility problem in future hardware. I wouldn't accuse them of being "out of touch" for this, though. I think they anticipated it with the jump to high definition and just couldn't do much about it other than offer Wii Mode compatibility, which to their credit, they actually did.
I guess the biggest thing that people accuse of Nintendo being "out of touch" for is their regular attempt to come up with new ways to play games, but that seems to me more interesting than just releasing the same controller every time, and the Wii U gamepad has by far more consideration towards those who favour standard inputs than the Wii remote did—it HAS everything from two pairs of shoulder buttons, dual clickable analog sticks, four buttons, and a D-pad, and your start and select buttons. It just also happens to have a touch screen.

Smash Bros. events too, I hope, if the online system supports that in some way.

Yeah, for sure. Have they even announced anything about online Splatoon multiplayer?
(also, we should probably use the E3 topic)

I own a Wii U.
I only have one problem with it...
I USE IT FOR ONE DAY, AND I HAD TO BUY HALF OF THE BATTERIES AT WAL-FRICKIN-MART JUST TO KEEP THE STUPID GAMEPAD WORKING FOR TWO HOURS!!!!!!!!!
No, really, that GamePad is a white, square shaped Kirby. It eats nothing but Double-A's, though.

You should get some rechargable batteries for it, would save you some time and money.

Nintendo should think about making rechargeable batteries for their remotes. We are in the 21st century after all.
