So I started out SMBX2 with beta 5, and thus was intrigued with the differences from previous betas. One thing i noticed is that 2 ENTIRE PLAYABLE CHARACTERS AND 27 COSTUMES from Beta 3 WERE REMOVED. Why in god's good name did the devs do this??????

Mostly for the game file size to be smaller, but there was also some controversy with some of them, forcing their removal.

The two deleted characters sucked, but were removed for more serious reasons. Princess Rinka was a character made to mock a community member, and a banned member made Juni. I don't know anything about the 27 costumes.

there are indeed a lot of costumes that have been removed since beta 3, and while i can't say exactly why each was taken out, it is worth noting that a lot of them are either simple graphical replacements (thus invalidating the need for a costume in the first place), of questionable quality, or are probably not notable enough to be basegame assets as opposed to custom ones you import yourself out of an explicit desire to use them

To be honest I didn't know there were another removed character other than the rinka queen. Pretty sure they were deleted due to some controversials a while ago.
