I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be the same Ganon in all three timelines, including when he reincarnates or whatever. Are you referring to Adult Timeline (Twilight Princess), Magician? I'm pretty sure he references the events of Ocarina in that game if so but I might be wrong about that. I think it actually is a different character in Four Swords Adventures since he has a different backstory but I'm pretty sure that's the only game with a different Ganon (besides Demise). Vaati is probably also a reincarnation of Demise so he could be counted as well in some way.

That was never confirmed by Hyrule Historia or Nintendo though.
Yes, I said that that was up to interpretation. The fact that it was never confirmed makes part of my point, though. I could use the same argument for the idea that there is only one Ganon.

I'm aware that some people believe that only Ganon is an incarnation of Demise's hatred, but part of my point was that there is really nothing that requires me to agree with those people. It's not confirmed, but it's not denied. So when people say there's only one Ganon, that seems erroneous because you would need to A. take "reincarnated" and "revived" (despite both being distinctly used in otherwise the exact same context) to mean pretty much the same thing, and B. you would have to apply the same logic as to whom you'd believe was a reincarnation of Demise. I'll admit that B is my weaker point for those who would disagree with my opinion of Vaati being a part of the incarnation cycle, but it really just makes sense. Why would Demise's influence disappear for so long without anything in-between? Where was he, pre OoT, if he wasn't Vaati?

So, there's that. Though I think arguing over the Historia and what's been confirmed probably misses the point. I think the idea of there being only one Ganon is really cool, and it works for their trifecta. What I primarily disagree with is using this interpretation as an argument against creative ways that a character could be used in entirely different circumstances, which is where I was going with it when I said "I also just don't see the point in splitting hairs over what can't or shouldn't happen in a sequel."
The book has been outdated since A Link Between Worlds. I wouldn't agree with any hypothetical proposal that the Hyrule Historia should be cited against future games; the fact of its existence proves Nintendo's willingness to retroactively change things they've explicitly stated about Zelda continuity and there's no reason they won't just do it again. To me, it's really just a book to enjoy reading and looking at the pictures, and I don't want anything they've said or done in the past to limit their creative freedom.

The Ganon from Four Swords Adventures would be a different Ganon, in my opinion. That makes me open to the idea of there being other Ganons, just like there are recurrences of other characters in seemingly completely different areas or time periods. Faint, and often blatant, familiarity seems to be a strong motif in the Zelda world, so when two considerably major villains appeared as shopkeepers in Majora's Mask, I could honestly see Ganon just showing up as an NPC someday as a result.
And remember, while OoT is currently considered Ganon's origin, Ezlo used to be considered the origin of Link's hat. Then Skyward Sword came out, and then Hyrule Historia posted it before The Minish Cap in the timeline. This stuff changes, guys. I don't see any reason Nintendo won't just change stuff again.

Four Swords Adventures has a different Ganon and I recall when people were talking about that, a spokesperson from Nintendo said that there doesn't have to be only one Ganon. Or something like that. I'll see if I can find that article.

Now it's over with this incarnation talk. And Ganon of Hyrule Warriors can have different designs, just like Link and Zelda will have textures from Skyward Sword other than Twilight Princess (just seen it in the Famitsu magazine). Also, Hyrule Warriors is a spin-off, not set in the official timeline, not set after Twilight Princess. Not in the singular timeline or the split timeline. It's like the whole timeline takes place all in one era. So anything is possible, eventually there might be stuff from A Link Between Worlds and cel-shading Zelda games in Hyrule Warriors - HD realistically redesigned to fit into the game. :)

New lore always trumps old lore, so I agree.

I like your train of thought! Perhaps Hyrule Warriors will contain a bit of each Zelda game? After all, it's supposed to be "a love letter to the Zelda series", right?

Thanks. And yes, it's like a love letter for Zelda. :D And there's also the Wind Waker featured into the game, along with the Power Gloves. Does that mean something?

Yes. Yes indeed. Also, Zelda uses the Wind Waker to attack, though you may have been referencing that.

Hyrule Warriors seems more like a mature spin-off of the LoZ series. It looks great and I would like to play it, but the mature content of the game makes me feels uneasy.

I'm not sure about "a mature spin-off", but I see where you're coming from.

I just had a thought. Could this game have an online mode? Even though I'd focus on the main game, I can see slaughtering thousands of enemies with your friends online as a fun time!

I think that idea is just splendid I could definitely see an online for this game.

So Princess Ruto, Sheik and Darunia are playable in Hyrule Warriors. Thoughts?

I wanted Sheik to be in it, even Gorons or a Zoras included. I'm looking forward to play the game. Now it leaves Deku Scrubs or Kokiris, and maybe Link's alternate forms as separate playable characters (Deku Link, Goron Link, Zora Link, Fierce Deity Link), even if this incarnation is a late teen (because Young Link was 11-12 in Majora's Mask, even though sources says he's 9 and I'm not buying that impossibility).

I heard the news a while back, but haven't been online here. Personally, I like the sages as playable characters, and even predicted it a few weeks back. As for Link's alternate forms, as separate characters, I'm not so sure. It's possible, but they may end up as costumes or power-ups.

It's a possibility. Glad Hyrule Warrior's Link could look like ones of the greatest heroes of all time. :)

And now the development's over, it's unfortunate that we can't suggest anymore. However, we still haven't seen the finished Hyrule Warriors, or played it. I will definitely buy it. :D

There's gonna be a Hyrule Warriors direct on the 4th/5th, not sure when it is for me but it varies depending on your time zone I guess.

I might watch the Direct when it's uploaded to YouTube, as I'll have to be awake at 4am to watch it live. I'm interested to see what will be shown, and I wouldn't mind this game as a Christmas present.

Indeed. It seems there's going to be a Challenge Mode added to the game as well, where you just keep facing increasingly difficult enemies. That should be fun!
