It would be between GBA and DS. But I think I like GBA more, because of all the shortcut potential. One can see its potential in CTGP Revolutions version of it. Also GCN Rainbow Road is boring. It just feels like N64 Rainbow Road all over again.

i'd love to see GBA rainbow road but i don't see a world where they keep all the crazy shortcuts you can do, which would basically remove the entire point. double dash's would be cool to see return too but at the same time part of what made it stand out was the fact that the game's bouncy physics made it absolutely brutal. guess if i had to choose one it would be DS because i think it'd work the best in a modern mario kart setting on top of it still being a great rainbow road. plus, obviously the loop and corkscrew would work really well with anti-gravity

and as for 8's rainbow road, lmao

Hey as for GBA Rainbow Road Nintendo has been getting braver in terms of shortcuts. When they brought back Mushroom Gorge and DK Summit they kept the gap jump for mushroom gorge and the double for dk summit in the Booster Course Pass. I'm not very familiar with all the strats in the original GBA Rainbow Road but the might keep some of the simpler ones that only skip short amounts.

GBA, And if that is way too "easy and unfair", DS

Wait, how can something be both easy and unfair? Aren’t those two exclusive to each other?

SNES if they aren't fucking around. "But it's been in a billion games!" - yeah, and it goes crazy every time.

The exessive amount of jumpy tiles just looks unfair too me and other players in my opinion. Easy because once you manipulate the exploit it is easy as manevuering a car once you learn how to do the basics. Trust me, ive seen some wild shots and tries at it.
