With the powerup pack nearly turning a month old, and it bringing nearly all of the mainline powerups to SMBX, this question keeps popping up in my head. So answer away!

Powerups are kind of a pain to deal with unless you're designing levels specifically around them. Seeing how they would effortlessly break a lot of my setups, mushrooms are the only item I give out with any kind of frequency.

As far as using powerup goes though, I really like the Ice Flower. The ability to stack enemies is quite useful in a lot of levels and unlike with the Fire Flower, the number of enemies that are immune to it per default is fairly low.

I love gliding so Leaf is my favourite.

It depends.

When designing levels, I usually go with the Super Mushroom. The thing to note when using Powerups is you also have to design the level with the powerups in mind. You wouldn't want to give the player a Fire Flower if all the enemies are immune to fireballs, or an Ice Flower if they're immune to Iceballs. Other powerups are harder to design around if you don't want players to break your setups. I don't think I have a favorite in this case...

When playing episodes, my favorite is the Ice Flower. Freezing enemies is so fun in SMBX. At times I try to get creative if I get stuck or try to cheese levels. The Tanooki Suit gets an honorable mention because there are a few neat tricks you can do as a Statue.

my favorite powerup is small form, because I usually like how the small sprites look compared to the big ones

the hammer suit while being useful is the my favorite powerup.

While the powerup is probably too overpowered it was deemed nessecary and helped me to deal with The Princess Cliche's Bowser boss (which if you didn't play, its basically the worst boss of bowser i have ever seen)

My absolute favorite power-up is the hammer suit. It's easy to kill bosses with it. When you're walking, you can run and mow down all the enemies. In fact, if you get it, the game is set.

How unfortunate then, because I’ve been nerfing it lol

The Ice Flower And Tanooki Suit. It's fun freezing enemies, with which you can make towers or use them as projectiles, and the tanooki is great cuz you can fly, glide and become invincible. Both are a solid 8.5/10.

This might be weird but I think it might be the Fire Flower, As much as it is basic. It's a lot easier to build levels around and is more balanced than the other ones while still retains its fun factor.

My favorite powerups are definitely the Tanooki Suit and the Hammer Suit .
They've always been my top picks since the older versions of SMBX, even before the new Powerup Pack was released. There's just something classic and powerful about them.

I appreciate the new powerups a lot, especially how The Rip Lair’s Powerup Pack brings almost all the mainline Mario transformations into SMBX
it's amazing work. But still, those two (Tanooki & Hammer) hold a special place for me .
