What Are Your Favorite Minecraft Mods?

As a connoisseur of Minecraft since the mid-late Beta era of the game, I've found myself growing in love with the modding scene. I didn't experience the Aether at its peak, but I definitely had a few basic mods that included the likes of "TooManyItems" and a couple mob mods I don't really remember anymore - it was like, version 1.1 or earlier. Ever since then, however, the modding scene has been nonstop booming! I especially love the worldgen and magic related mods.
Some of my faves that are necessities for any custom modpack I put together include (as of 1.20):
-Terralith
-YUNG's mods (especially the stronghold)
-forbidden & arcanus
-feywild (if I can get ahold of it)
-basically any structure or biome mod I can get my hands on I love exploring aimlessly
-immersive engineering (hasn't been updated to newer versions tho)
-twilight forest (grown cold feet on it tho, needs a bit of modernizing)

So I ask anyone who's reading this, which mods are your favorite???

my favorite minecraft mods are the ones where they add guns :)

In all seriousness, I haven't played much MC mods, but I do say I really like that one instrument mod that allows you to add your own MIDI tracks as a playable song

Not favorite but back in 2011 when we were like thirteen my friend wrote his first minecraft mod called Eat the Animal where you could craft a fork and right-click on animals to just devour them instantly and refill your hunger.

That's how he got into coding. I sprited the fork in the first version :) he now works for a big tech company lmao

I haven't dabbled too much in MC modding, however:
"Create," and
"Immersive Portals" are pretty cool ^^

My favorite Minecraft mod is probably Eureka! (For Valkyrian Skies), which lets you build ships out of any blocks that actually work. It resembles an old mod called "Archimedes Ships" and is pretty simple, but incredibly cool. You can even make your own Zeppelin and beds, chests and even waystones work just as they should when they are part of your vehicle.

Such a peak mod that very naturally feeds into the building aspect of Minecraft

Definitely hard to pick just one, but OptiFine is a must-have for performance boosts and better visuals. If you’re into automation, Create adds some amazing mechanical systems. For exploration, Biomes O’ Plenty keeps the world feeling fresh. What mods do you guys swear by?
