It's been a while, hasn't it? No vanilla contest last year, at all. It must've been a total drag.
But the wait ends now. One year in the making, my stupidest idea for a vanilla contest yet: TWO OF THEM
Vanillart Contest 2024 is a contest focused on the beauty of vanilla. It's a contest about making beautiful vignettes, modern art. Nothing of that "stomping... Koopas." nonsense. Take in the sights and relax. This contest will start a week from now, and carry on throughout until the end of Gate's MFGG Level Design Competition (which you should totally participate in, too! And after that, the real test begins.
Vanillish Contest 2024 is your typical Vanilla Contest, with a twist. Or two. Or three. I might have changed the rules a little. Don't think of the ice cream Pokemon, think of the suffix "-ish", instead. What does it mean? You'll see. There's also another twist in the rubric, which I've just, completely turned inside out. It'll be fun! :)
I'm keeping the exact details a secret for now as always, so you can't game the system too hard by starting early. I encourage you all to brainstorm for ideas, get a handle on Beta 5, which this contest will be judged on, and consider signing up by expressing your interest in a reply.
