You can participate by submitting an entry here on this thread or at the channel created for this purpose on our Discord channel.

The competition will last for a month, and when the submission period is over we will judge all entries and we will give out a shiny badge on the forums.

I guess ANY kind of levels = no restriction in ANY way. And by "rubric" I am pretty sure a "level theme" is meant (or gamestyle: SMB1, SMB3, SMW, NO-Mario etc.).

The timing for this contest right now is either absolutely brilliant or a bit unfortunate (or you just had inside knowledge), since beta 5 is less than 24 hours old and I could imagine people wanting to try it out first.
But that's just my opinion, beta 5 didn't reinvent the wheel, it "just" refined it (ok it is more than that, but you know what I mean).
You have a whole month to design and submit your levels.
Just a little hint: This is not entirely biunique. Usually a fixed date and time (and timezone) is getting specified and maybe also something like "after that maps won`t get accepted anymore". Society demands basic rules.

Hey all!
The new SMBX2 update is coming soon (within a month or two) and with it a plethora of new things to try in the context of vanilla.
My aim is to start a vanilla contest roughly 1-2 weeks after the release of that new version. For that, I am looking for judges.
I have no idea, how fast people are with level design around here (I am slow as like a koopa) but it could be a little bit tight. In the other case people might split up between Emrals and your contest.

Do not get me wrong, I don't want to be a party pooper, I just want to point out a few things before people end up disappointed.
(how many times did I edit this post of mine now anyway?)

Submissions for this contests are not longer accepted, voting has begun!

You can vote for your three favourites in the thread here: https://forums.mfgg.net/showthread.php?tid=3063

Voting is public, anyone can play the levels and cast their vote on their 3 favourites

EDIT: About the sudden change in the voting method:

I planned to have some judges to rate the levels and give the veredict. But due to some circumstances out of my control I had to change it.

The reason of this change was because my father decided to install half-dozen doors in a town that is like 1 hour away from my hometown, and this might take me (and my brother) the whole week to do.

I deeply apologize for this sudden change. Again, it was something out of my control.

Just an information that the results was released at 20th March.
https://forums.mfgg.net/showthread.php? ... 5#pid32825
So we can say that this contest was ended weeks ago.
The level pack for those who needs them: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kqEl4P ... lZSle/view

My entry only got 3 votes, kinda sad tbh but I'll take it anyways.
