Starting anew, needing help with...

So, I've got a new SMBX project.
I have it so that the first level starts with a door warp. Thing is, I cannot get that to work. The level itself is not part of the world map (intentional), because it is a story introduction level designed to be played only once.
I have no clue how to get this to work; all that happens is that the player just falls into the void and dies. That's it.
