A Public Letter From Me To The Staff

If I sent this in an actual private message it would have gotten ignored by the staff, I will ensure you that, seeing how recent things are going on. Please read this entire rant-mail before you decide to lock it, because I would really be disappointed if you just jumped to conclusions.
Half of this thing might not make sense because I'm super tired, but I still need to say something.

I spammed some bolded text (that I don't think anybody read) on IRC and I gradually stopped, there were no more than 13 lines. Kley did the right thing and kicked me (which acted as a warning), when I got back on, I was going to speak out, but Quill had taken that opportunity to ban me right there, for whatever reason he felt was necessary. That was nice. I'm probably banned from the IRC indefinitely now, but I don't give a fuck much more because I feel I've been treated badly and I'm really starting to dislike this "shoot first ask questions never" type of attitude.

Hello, everybody! I would just like to make it known that this entire god damn community can't have a single civilized question. I would like to point out there in this thread, Valtteri had locked what I felt was a valid discussion thread. Even if Quill wasn't going to get demoted for his unruly behaviour, it still garnered discussion. The administrators shut us out.

I feel like the administrators have completely shut Knux out. They are treating him unfairly, and Quill used an excuse of saying that "Knux had 3 warnings". I don't think the staff should treat Knux like low-life scum, it's not very respectable.

The staff, and by staff I am referring to Quill, Valtteri, and Kley somewhat, are all immature and incompetent staff members. I'm getting tired of Quill banning me from the IRC at a moment's notice because he didn't like something I said, whether it was directed at him or not, and I'm also getting tired of him snapping at everybody. I'm getting sick of Valtteri's obsession with the movie Frozen, he's been taking the jokes out of context, he can get flustered up over them so easily, he's honestly not that mature of a member. Kley is alright, but I feel that he doesn't do many moderator things, and he can be immature at times.

I find that the staff seem to dismiss anything directed at them, such as Knux complaining about Quill. They should be able to take a few hits before lunging, they shouldn't immediately jump to threads targeted at them.

The staff, especially Joey, seem to be ignoring our constant complaints, they don't fix the problems at hand. I feel we should hold a public voting on things people want changed, and we will pick the top 3 things that people voted for and change those, it would make for a better forums. The staff shouldn't have any say in the final results of the voting, it should all be user-based. Don't turn it into another moderator poll vote.

Another thing I think needs to be addressed is how civil the serious discussions are. Think of gentlemanly leisure when communicating to a fellow forum-goer, remain positive and friendly, and don't start yelling and accusing somebody of something. Keep the bad-talk down and the good-talk up.

HAVE A NICE FUCKING DAY c:

EDIT: That was nice of Kley to say.

EDIT 2: In case you didn't know, a while ago Quill basically said nobody gives a shit about me.
<Quill> dude
<Quill> everyone gives you shit
<Quill> do you not realize this
<Quill> it's mostly behind your back but whatever
Is this tolerable or not for a staff member to say?

I don't think posts like these will bring anything good to this forum. I'm only annoyed by Knux because he makes his arguments in a whiny, persistent way and he won't stop. It's like he's intentionally trying to aggravate people sometimes. Sure, his opinions should be taken into consideration, but he needs to revise the way he makes his points.

I do agree with you there. He can quit the whining, but his posts shouldn't be overlooked.

Thanks for reopening this discussion. I agree with pretty much everything you're saying. Knux still has the right to an opinion and people clearly agreed with him… You've got to let us have discussion, staff. It's the only way improvements can ever be made.

The staff isn't inclined to take whiny posts seriously though.

There's no point in having a "valid discussion thread" when it's not going to lead anywhere. We're never intending to demote Quill. And I fail to see how me liking Frozen is a valid complaint. The other complaints I didn't really understand.

I think we should tone it down with Frozen jokes because it's starting to get monotonous. It's obvious this community doesn't handle things such as adversative opinions well.

It seems like you've already decided the verdict in advance, Valtteri, and that's not very fair. If a bunch of people agree that Quill is an asshole and he has been documented as being an asshole in the present day to a specific person for no reason, he doesn't seem very trustworthy as an administrator.

Valtteri is allowed to like a movie, though, just as any other user is, and he's overall seemed like a fairly competent and trustworthy administrator to me. As long as liking Frozen doesn't affect how he operates as a staff member, I don't see the problem.

<The8bitmushroom> You truly are an ignorant cunt.
<The8bitmushroom> You aren't competent to be part of that staff team.

This behaviour is unacceptable. You were kicked by Kley because you spammed and when you joined the channel again you continued to do so. That is why I banned you. I do NOT have a personal grudge against you like you seem to think. You're honestly overreacting to everything here.

Seriously, whenever a staff member does something that you disagree with, suddenly they are the worst staff member ever. This needs to stop now.
