Custom Costumes for All. (SOLVED!)

Postby mariobrigade2018 » Sun Jul 02, 2023 1:27 pm

So you know how in SMW: SMA2 and SMA4: SMB3 have Luigi move his legs super fast when he jump?

How do I make this?

From what I know, this uses costume.lua for this to work. Delightful Adventure: Enhanced uses this, but then that causes a bigger, and more important, problem. I can only have 1 costume.lua in a folder. And my preferred costumes are SMW2 Yoshi for Klonola and SMB3 Waluigi for NBM. How do I make it so that everyone can have a custom costume without having to move all of the files to a folder and causing this problem? Explained and put in practice.

P.S. Thanks for all of the help. I'm trying to learn how to code, and I thought this would be a good idea to do such a task.

costumes are separated by character. making a custom costume involves placing the costume.lua file in its own folder which shouldn't interfere with any basegame costumes as long as they're given a unique name

OK, what about an episode folder? Is it the same thing?

yes, to define a custom costume for an episode you can just create a folder called "costumes" inside your episode folder which can be organized in the same way that the basegame costumes are (check "data/costumes" inside your smbx2 folder to see exactly how)
