feel like naming it "super mario bros 2023" is definitely going to age it in three months
but! it does look good! ill try it out
Thank you! Despite being titled, "Super Mario Bros. 2023", what are you talking about "going to age in three months"?
i mean, like.. it'll be 2024, and the name will seem, outdated, i guess? isn't that why sports games are yearly?
I guess you're right. BTW, the name of this project has been renamed "Super Mario Bros. 2024" and no longer titled "Super Mario Bros. 2023", because you said it will be 2024 soon and I updated the name!

But when it’s 2025, it'll become outdated then. I’m curious as to why you want a year in your title, instead of finding something that fits the “modern” description a bit better.

Exactly. Because I wanted to have a year in my episode title, I have seen some Mario fangames with years in their titles including Super Mario 2011 & Super Mario Bros. 2019. If you're interested in these fangames, you can check them out here: Super Mario Bros. 2019 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YncUuK05Nw8, Super Mario 2011 - http://legacy.pi-dev.com/super-mario
A pre-release of this episode is available now to download and it is a preview of the full release with all 8 main worlds completed but the special world 9 didn’t begin being developed yet.
I know that this type of post here (so I mean my own one) is not particularly relevant to the topic, but I really have to express my respect for pulling off a project of this size.
Most of the time I find that hardly anything is good enough, I look at it the next day and think: This is mostly crap and doesn't play well.
And here I can see that you only have the bonus world ahead of you.
For the most part, the overall impression is also good, at least it's very similar from those of Invasion 2.
Regardless of the generally recognizable enthusiasm, it's important for you to go through with it. It's unspeakably valuable for your self-esteem and psyche.
