Old times is a 8-Bit styled smb1 level which will make you complain how there aren't any slopes in this old world. FFS it's supposed showing how good and nice the old times were but nowadays people are like
"No slopes is shit level" "Omg shit level so linear" You only thinking about slopes and shit.

Were was i? Oh right my epic level.

Not sure how active you are here but here goes nothing!

Review - Old Times

I'll try the whole "what i like & didn't like" again as it helped me to focus more on gameplay than just taking down notes every few enemies.

What I Liked
-It felt like a modernized NES level
The addition of slopes made this very enjoyable and smooth to play.
-Wasn't too hard, wasn't too easy
I got hit alot, but I didn't want to throw my keyboard into my monitor
-Classic music choice
Not sure if overused, but fit. Really well

What I Didn't Like
-Although it was kind of meant to be, it was linear
There wasn't any kind of bonuses to it, no underground routes to help the player out or discover some hidden goodies
-8Bit SMW Mario sprite was really weird
I would've preferred to see an 8bit SMB3 Mario honestly
-Not enough power-up variation
I believe there were only mushrooms.
-Where the coins at?
The only coins really were in the boxes/? boxes

Atmosphere: well it felt like a really linear NES level, idk if that's what you were going for but i didn't dig the linearness to it. the lack of coins was a disappointment too. 6/10

Gameplay: gameplay was good, but it was kind of stale platforming. again, adding some extra routes or secrets for the player to find would really spice it up. 7/10

NPC Placement: there were npcs, and they were placed nicely but there wasn't much variation to it. 6/10

Graphics: no complaints here really, just that the SMW 8bit Mario was weird to see. although alot of things blended together 8/10

Overall Score: 6.75/10 a pretty decent 8bit styled level.
