📡How to submit
To submit, you leave a reply in this topic with the download link to the level. Please include additional information (team name, used keyword set) in the readme, rather than in your post. If you wish to update your submission, edit your post and leave a note in the post notifying of the change.
In order for your submission to be scored, the download link must be publically accessible. I will gather all submissions once the deadline for submission arrives.
I recommend using services such as Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox or MEGA to upload your submission. Mediafire is a bad choice because of its slow download speeds.
✅Submission checklist
SMBX's file organization can be a bit confusing and unintuitive. When setting up your level file and assets, make sure to put the level file outside of the folder of the same name, and include all custom assets in that folder. When submitting, make sure everything in the below checklist is included in your zip:
- The level file, outside of the level folder (folder with the same name as the level)
- Any custom assets (music, sounds, graphics) should be in the level folder
- Avoid renaming your level folder shortly before submission... This tends to break music paths
- A readme, including information about your boss
- Level name, if it differs from the filename in words or capitalization
- Preferred author name (team name, username)
- Used keyword set
- You may go into detail about how your boss uses the keywords
- If the keyword set in the readme differs from our PMs, I will edit the readme to match the keyword set as I logged it from our PMs
- Credits
- Any other information you want the judges to see
- Ideally it should NOT include instructions on how to fight the boss! Anyone other than the judges will not get to view the readme, after all.
