I'm sure you've waited long enough for this to be reviewed.
Visual Appeal
You definitely pulled off the dark ancient jungle feel you were going at graphically. A lot of the graphics you used were tinted dark green and it all fits really well, including the tribal SMB3 styled shy guys (I hope you don't mind, I'll be using these). The dark green Bowser castle graphics you used also go amazingly well with the kind of old viney ruins you decided to put in halfway through. I almost forgot to mention. That giant cheep-cheep is AMAZING and I'll be using that too. However, since a lot of the level is tinted green, the bright golden special blocks stand out and not in a good way. I'd suggest tinting those like you did with anything else that possibly would have stood out.

Design
The design is pretty straightforward left all the way through, doesn't go up, down, or right too much until you reach the ruins part of the level. Not saying this is a bad thing since you did it really well in this level. You also used one kind of platform as your tileset selection for about 80% of the level and MAN was that done well also. I would almost never have patience to do that kind of design. Scenery was done excellently and everything adds on to the ancient jungle ruins feel you used in this level. NPC placement was done well and nothing was out of place or unnecessary. The flying mosquito swarm was an incredibly clever addition to the NPCs. I did feel that parts of the inside the ruins section didn't quite feel as much like an ancient jungle temple like the outside section, likely because of the awkward placement of vines and the massive piranha plants .

Gameplay
Gameplay and the level of enjoyment stays pretty strong right up to the halfway point. After that, the flatness does get kind of old because there's nothing new to the level at this point. If I were making an ancient jungle, I would have made an ascension partially through the trees to keep the enjoyment completely strong all the way through the level. Although, I can't forget the first half of the level and the ruins nearly sold it for me (kind of cliche, I know, but I liked them nonetheless, ruins are great).
7/10
Music
The outside music reminds me of something from a Banjo-Kazooie game. I haven't a clue where the inside music is from though. Overall, the music fits really well with the level, but it didn't seem that appealing to me, since I'm into the more grandious type of music used in levels.
7.5/10
This was for the most part a decent level and for half of it, fun to play.
8/10
Moved to Pretty Good.
