Well, yea, it's been a while is it?
I don't really know if there's already a topic like this before. If you feel that you've seen this kind of topic before, please let me know. I don't mind if this being "merged" in the previous similar topic if they're exist.

As the topic title says, Do you still remember the first ever custom episode(s) that you've played before?
What I mean is, any episodes that you've get/downloaded, at least in this forum.

Mine is probably NGCA that I played back in 2014-2015 era.

If I remember correctly, the first custom episode I played dates back to version 1.1.1. It's most likely Ozzie968's episode that I played, which used edited Invasion levels and it had a cool town level with a rollercoaster where I first discovered the existence of cheats.

It's been years since I last played Super Mario Bros. X, and I just managed to beat "Luigi: Luigi is Missing!"

It's so great how much the fangame has changed over the years, and while the "episode" I beat isn't really a episode of sorts, it's like returning to something for nostalgic purposes and inserting your best memories inside it.

Funny you say that, I think mine was the original TGCA, back when it was included in the download on SMBX 1.1.3.

When I first encountered Super Mario Bros X, my focus was primarily on the classic episodes. After playing The Invasion 2, I delved into Super Mario Bros 3 (recreated by Phil, if I remember correctly). Furthermore, I played the original Invasion and The Great Adventure, the latter created by Knuckles96. Additionally, I ventured into To Return Dinosaur Land (created by Valtteri).

In summary, my experience with SMBX was relatively limited, and now I am on a quest to identify the best episodes, which has proven to be a challenge."

Must have been one of the featured episodes at the time. I'm fairly certain that it was Luigi's Fight For the Mushroom Kingdom, but I could be mistaken. I never made it particularly far into that game either, as it was too difficult for me.

It was around 2017, either Another Princess Cliche or Airship Attack, I'm not 100% sure. Never turned around to complete AA until two months ago, and I think I didn't even reach half of APC. Still, brings back good memories

does the invasion 1 count? because its like the invasion 2 but with no custom sprites, but its not the one you get instnatly after downloading smbx so idk

I'm not sure, but I think it was either Luigi's Fight For The Mushroom Kingdom, The Restoration, or Super Talking Time Bros., if the episodes that were included in SMBX2 Beta 3 don't count.

The first custom episode I played was a long boss rush of 80 fights that were mostly Ludwig Von Koopas. I remember asking if I could help them improve it, and then asking again because I didn't think about different time zones before typing. The creator saw both of my posts, removed the download, and asked for the thread to be locked. I still have the boss rush in my hard drive with a few edits I made.

If we're not counting boss rushes, then it would be 2k15 Summer Takeover. I never downloaded any episodes while lurking in 2014

Edit: Just found the name. It was called the Awesome Boss Rush
