Lots of things can be made with LunaLua, but sometimes it can be hard to figure out what you want to make, so this topic here is where you can brainstorm to throw in some ideas. Now for those who are wondering, I'm not an expert scripter, I made this topic just so people can throw in some ideas to see what cool things can be made with LunaLua. Anyway, here are some ideas to think of, though some more might be added later.

1) Match 3 Games
You know those match 3 games such as Candy Crush, Bejeweled, etc? Well think of a blocker or element from a match 3 game and try to turn it into an element for a 2D platformer. Why? I feel like some elements from those type of games could be something interesting and possible to make.

2) Mushroom Platforms
There are different types of platforms users have made with LunaLua such as seesaws, rotating platforms, countdown ones, etc. Well I don't think anyone has made mushroom platforms before with LunaLua. They would be interesting to make because those are what make athletic levels, and NSMB was well known for some different types of them.

3) Elements from 3D Games
There are some NPCs from 3D games such as Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 3D World that people have made with LunaLua. Think about elements or enemies from 3D games and imagine them in a 2D platformer.

4) Taking an element or enemy from a game and put a twist on it.
What's an enemy or element from a game you can think of easily, but with a modification to it? The element could be changed to a helpful one, or a deadly one, or one with a wacky twist.

Brainstormed Ideas for LunaLua I Thought Of: Do correct me if some of these have already been done or thought before.
Spoiler: show
Detection Zones - A detection zone could either detect a player, a player's action, or a certain NPC, and they could be sizable. Depending on what actions are done in a detection zone, an event could be triggered.

Earthquake Generator - So you know how sledge bros cause quakes whenever they land on the ground after jumping? Well what if there was a script that could cause a quake every few seconds?

Flipswitch Panels (From Super Mario Galaxy) - In Super Mario Galaxy when all of the flipswitch panels are turned yellow in a section, an event would happen. Imagine them in 2D levels where the player had to press all of them to make something happen.

Gliding Currents (Inspiration: Currents from Bejeweled Stars) - So SMBX2 already has something called glide blocks which cancels an NPCs 'y' movement. Though what if there was a similar thing where if an NPC is the current, it can get carried around without touching the floor? And the currents' movements could go on and off between intervals. I know someone made the currents from NSMB where players can get pushed in the water, but that's not what I'm referring to.

Screwtops (From NSMB Wii and NSMBU) - The screwtops in NSMB were able to be spun around and move mechanisms if the player pressed the spin-jump button while on them. Something like that sounds possible in SMBX2.

Stretch Shrooms (From NSMB Series) - I know some people came up with stuff such as the horizontal stretch bridges from Super Mario World, but those bridges don't pull you in when the bridge pulls itself back in.

Switchboards (From Super Mario 3D Land)
That's all I can think of at the moment, what are some ideas you can came up with?
