run-time error '5': invalid procedure call or argument

hello. i believe this is the second time i've encountered this error but the first time i didn't get to actually read it and i just clicked ok without thinking.
both times it occurred at random while playing two completely different levels from different episodes. there was no specific interaction i could pinpoint nor was i able to reproduce it, and one of the levels didn't have any custom lua.
i'm not sure if i can provide additional info as when you click "ok" the game just closes without any crash log or anything but uhh i'm on a 64-bit windows 7 machine and am using the latest smbx2 version.
not really expecting a magical fix or anything (and it's not a consistent thing so one probably isn't even needed) but i was wondering if any dev could fill me in on what might be the cause because i peeked through forums as well as the legacy source code and was not able to find anything about it, and it's not an error i already know about (such as subscript out of range or divide by zero).
