Trouble on the map

Postby Cognition » Fri Apr 08, 2022 8:46 pm

I am probably missing something but as I began testing my world map from the start game in SMBX2. All of my levels were open to a path, visible and I could bypass levels. All of the levels are set to a file and have the same exit in them as I selected. I have them set to only exit from a curtain side, but it still does not fix the problem. What am I missing? Here is a screenshot if necessary. My words may be confusing.

Another question I have is if it is possible to change the size of scenery on the world map with a .txt or Luna file?

Chocomap.lua. This might help you for configure the size, priority or frames of the world editor elements by using .txt files.

if all of the paths are open right from the get-go, the only thing that comes to mind is an existing save file that has all of them unlocked. i recommend checking for and deleting any save files within the episode directory, as your exits appear to be correctly configured. if that doesn't work, you could try uploading your wld file so that someone from here can take a look (also just a tip, using "test a saved file" tends to be much better for testing world maps as it uses it's own save slot rather than one of the 3 default ones)

just note that chocomap only allows you to change the displayed size of the scenery. if you, for instance, make a small scenery bigger and then have a path intersect through it, it will only get cleared if it intersects with the rectangle defined by said scenery's original size.

Make sure there are no path tiles underneath the levels.

Hey, thanks for everyone's help. Enjl you solved the issue, thank you. I've decided to go with MrDoubleA's Luna maps in the end.
