Super Talking Time Bros 3 (Help needed! See new post))

So this is happening!

While the project itself is still in development and is very much a 'done when it's done' kind of deal we decided to put together a demo of World 1, and some additional later game levels, just to get some broader feedback and some more eyes on the project.

We have a page on RMN set up for the project, or you can download the demo directly here. (Note it is not Beta 5 compatible, the very first stage softlocks due to a B5 change to clearpipes)

Update February 21st 2021: Fixed the Star Coin index for Fat Tum Forest.

I honestly didn't expect this to even be worked on anymore, but I like how it looks and I really enjoyed the other ones (even the first one, to a certain extend), so I will check this out later.

Hmm, I think I might know what's up with the clear pipe cannons. But I'm not at all sure what could be going on in the credits background. It just uses Enjl's Earthbound Backgrounds lua, have you had an issue with that before? If it loaded as green from the start I might think it was an image issue, but I have no idea why it might gradually turn that color. It'll be interesting to see if anyone else has that issue.

I can't get the star coins achievement because of Fat Tum Forest on the map not having any star coins. Was it because Madhair forgot to index the Star Coins?

Huh, he did but I thought I had that fixed when I tweaked the Moon in his stage, but I guess not? That's embarrassing.

I updated the zip with the fix for that stage. Though I'm not sure if the totals will be off if you get the coins again.

I thought this project was abandoned or discontinued. Good to know it is still in development.
BTW, is the engine SMBX2?

So this project has been in stasis for a good while now. Most of the folks I had working on this with me have stopped over time, either due to lack of interest or just vanishing off the web for months at a time. As it stands now if I want to get this finished I will need some help from somewhere.

Right now there are 73 full completed stages and 21 mini stages, a number of things still need to be done but most of it is lua-heavy. More bosses in particular need to be added, though I always could look at some of the posted boss packs for that. But a lot of system-level stuff needs to be added, the hub needs to be created, opening and ending cutscenes, all the less exciting stuff, basically.

So I'm reaching out to the community as a whole. If you think you can help out and get this finished let me know, either by PM or replying here.
