different ways to draw text and text boxes?

heya once again, i was wondering if there may also be a way to draw text differently and or textboxes entirely? such as drawing each letter at a time with a lil noise playing for each one, and or changing the font size and color. are there things possible? or can a textbox only be drawn as it is in game already?
