Happy Halloween to all and here, I give you all 3 images of what is going to be a massive project that I've started earlier this year. I feel as though I need a bit more experience before I'm ready to release any levels. (Heck, I still don't know how to prioritize backgrounds because the game seems to ignore all text files I make) so for now, I give you three image teasers.

Welcome back Bumpty Bumpson
After 15 years away from the town of your childhood, you finally return to visit your late Grandparents' old house. Yet, upon arriving at your old childhood home, something feels... amiss. The area lies quiet, far too quiet. You feel like there are eyes watching you afar... deep in the woods. You feel like you are never alone, someone or some presence is always there. You thought this was just going to be a quiet weekend trip... you thought wrong.

This is Creepshow - Town of Whispers, a horror episode, with a much darker atmosphere than the standard SMBX feel. I plan to hopefully get to work on the later levels, npcs, alternate characters, puzzles, stories, SCARES, endings, and other things very soon. As someone who enjoys listening to creepypastas and scary stories all of the time, I figured why not make on in the setting of SMBX? I have reasonable experience and some scripting knowledge, so I'll see how it all turns out. I look forward to finally unveiling this and hearing your thoughts. If this is a big success, I may actually make more Creepshow Episodes of differing characters and all. I've got plenty of stories with inspiration to share, but for now, this story takes priority.

NOTE: SUGGESTIVE LANGUAGE AND IMAGES, LOUD SOUNDS, AND SOME JUMPSCARES

Update 11/4/21
Just sprucing up some bland, empty areas right now. Also, because we like to use our phones so much, have one in your inventory! It will light up the darkest of places, but be warned, it has a battery supply that must be recharged, and the light may attract... "unwanted" attention.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to make a working puzzle.
