Having issues with Mario on world map

When I tested my world map, Mario didn't start where I wanted him to. I set the start to start, and it doesn't start there. I also can't move Mario in any direction. He is just stuck there. I also need help with unlocking paths in the world map, it doesn't unlock. Can anyone help? Meanwhile, I'm going to make levels.

it would help if you uploaded your WLD file (so people could take a look and see what the problem is) and specified which version of SMBX you're using.
