Super Mario's Shroom Shines Escapade! - A new SMBX2 project!

Get ready!
Soon, Mario and his trusty friends will return in a FRESH new adventure to save the Mushroom Kingdom!
(How surprising!...)

STORY :

In search of power, Bowser takes over the Mushroom Kingdom, turning such Pleasant Plains into an Apocalyptic Landscape... Full of Bowser's minions!
You guessed it : It's up to Mario, Luigi, Peach and Toad to save the day, once more!

Defeat Bowser's army, travel through various worlds, but most importantly... Collect all the Shroom Shines, and put an end to Bowser's plans!

The final game is planned to have :

- More that 70 levels.
- A SMW-styled map

Greetings everyone !
So, first of all, I wish to all of you a happy halloween !!

And the second thing is I'm still working on Super Mario Newest Adventure !
I know there wasn't a lot of news on it, since I'm actually remaking most of the game with a new story, and more !

Played a bit. This has some interesting ideas, but if you'll allow some points of criticism:

- Level 1 and 3 appear to have a rather unnecessary yellow filter I could've done without.
- I personally find most of the music to be rather unfitting and too bombastic, particularly the music track that plays in the first three levels.
- Although simple and somewhat linear, I like the "puzzles" you have going with the ! switches, they're fun. However, the maps feel a bit desolate and with a very low enemy density. Maybe this wouldn't be a problem if the bombastic music didn't make you feel like you were in the tick of the action, even though you really aren't.
- This is minor, but the ground stomp, unlike the NSMB equivalent (which I think this is trying to emulate?) does not continue producing coins from ? blocks, unlike in that game. I'd fix that if possible.

That being said, this was a fun albeit perhaps too easy demo. Looking forward to see where this goes from here!
