It's been 6 months since Bowser last attacked. Because of this, Mario, Luigi, and Peach have seized an opportunity to train a few soldiers in the event Mario and Luigi are incapacitated and require aid. They gather 11 Toads, and 1 human by the name of Lute. Lute is a witty and somewhat erratic warrior with a sword and shield, who longs to be a hero.
Lute's first mission pits him against the mysterious Conquest Syndicate, a group of Bowser's commanders who are raiding ancient ruins and other areas for an unknown reason. Guide Lute as he embarks on a continent-wide journey to stop Bowser and his commanders, learning more about himself, his comrades, and the world.

Some custom GFX taken from Valtteri's GFX pack. Some of the sprite recolours are by me.
The Cloudy Mountain boss characters, Joe and Dave, are made my Eni, my older brother.

8/17/2021 - Version 2 is released, which includes new content, some bug fixes, and other minor changes.
12/24/2021 - Merry Christmas! I did some more work on the episode. I polished the story a teensy bit more and made some minor level changes. Nothing too major.
