SMBX2 Locked Controls Problem

Hey, I'm back! Anyway, I come only with a question. I am currently using SMBX2, but when I test levels, I can walk, jump and duck but I cannot spin-jump and tail-spin using a racoon or tanooki suit. Does anybody know why? Also, I think that a GIF or a video is not needed as I really can't spin-jump and do a tail-spin. Thanks!

You're using the wrong tester. Use the lunatester (F5)

That error appears to be a result of the OpenGL renderer failing to work. Try updating your graphics drivers. If you have the Microsoft Basic Display driver, reboot your computer.

I don't blame you, I'm always spurting out computer jargon at whatever opportunity. OpenGL is a hardware-based graphics engine which offers better performance than using a software would. Drivers are basically what tells the computer how to utilize hardware.

Anyway, I'll try and keep this simple. Open the task manager, then click on performance, then click on GPU 0. Upload a screenshot and I'll tell you what to do next.

Gah, seems that method only works on Windows 10. Press the Windows key and R (or search Run in the star menu) and then type dxdiag and press enter. Then click on display.

If it doesn't work, then I'm afraid your computer is too old for SMBX2.

There is a way around it if it doesn't work, but it's better to get it working properly.

Well, it doesn't really matter since I have SMBX 1.4.5 .

I mean, that's a completely different program and won't run any episodes made for SMBX2 (and may have incompatibilities with episodes made for 1.3).

Aside from that, updating your graphics drivers is a REALLY GOOD IDEA GENERALLY.

Agree, most modern mario fangames use high version of the graphics driver.
