PGE on mac missing graphics

Postby Superfrancybros » Mon Mar 29, 2021 4:19 am

Hello everybody!
The level editor of SMBX2 is PGE by Wohlstand.
There is the version for mac too. I open the configuration package but don't run, it block!
The PGEs files are equal, whats the difference?

Thanks

You should open terminal and run the install script from the SMBX2's "Linux and macOS" that will install and tune the config pack. This is an integrational config pack that contains no resources, and it should alias to actual SMBX2' location which is doing by the script. So, if you do update of SMBX2 or move the directory, you should rerun that script n in order to fix the config pack.

There are only standalone config packs do not require you to do such of black magic in order to get them work. At SMBX2 it is not, it's integrational that depends on absolute or relarive location of the game.

Also, if you do have macOS 10.14 and lower, you will be able to run level tests by the LunaTester if you will set up the Wine or PlayOnMac on your system. Since 10.15 the whole 32-bit subsystem got nuked and Wine won't work at all until the workaround will be developed by the Wine team. However, I heard that the paid Crossover toolchain had to develop that, you may try some with that...
