Super Mario World Adventure

Hey guys, GalaxyComet here, giving you guys my very first episode I ever made for SMBX. This was back in 2010 where my goal for this episode was to implement the day and night gimmick from Sonic Unleashed, or rather just make a Mario adaptation of Sonic Unleashed (or the Japanese title "Sonic World Adventure", hence the name of the episode), minus the werehog of course. The files for this episode was lost to a corrupted hard drive years ago, but thanks to KBM-Quine, I was able to recover the entire episode.
Story
Since this is the prequel to Super Mario Advent and The Great Vengeance, the story involves Mother Brain invading the Mushroom Kingdom and causing havoc, so now it's up to Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad to put a stop to the madness.
Worlds
World 1: Toad Town (North)
World 2: Mushroom Empire
World 3: Shun-Shu
World 4: Subcon Amazon
World 5: Crystalaska
World 6: Koopazuri
World 7: Adaqua
World 8: Toad Town (South)
World 9: Devil Deathland

Honestly, this is a really bad episode. There's random enemy spam, cluttered terrain, and no signs of instructive level design at all.
The worst part is that afaik it's not even possible to beat. There's a massive pit in Block Highway Act 2 (Night) which is impossible to jump, and there's no flight powerups that allow you to cross it.
Please test your work before posting.

glad i could help you find this again. i understand the type of feeling one has when they lose something like this, and it must have been a nice surprise to get it again.
i haven't played it since it's 2010 release, but it was a bit rough for it's time no doubt. so play this with a gain of salt, as it's an old, first time episode. not all first trys are perfect.
the main intention was to preserve it for historical purposes after i found it in an older install of smbx. after noting that it wasn't in the possession of it's creator and that galaxycomet was still active, i opted to send it to them instead. i did send it along to the smbx archive team, but i don't believe it was uploaded.

Again, thank you so SO much for sending the old files. Playing through this episode truly was a nice trip to the past, but man the level design is dated as hell. I was planning on remaking all of my previous episodes once I finish my current project
"Super Mario Bros. Beyond." You should give a look if you have the chance. You can also check out my other projects,
Super Mario Advent and
The Great Vengeance.

If you upload an old episode you should at least play through it yourself to make sure it can be completed. If Brokenace is right, you didn't do that, neither now nor in 2010.

At the end of Block Highway Act 2 Night, there's a P-Switch that reveals a hidden pathway. Unfortunately, it was inside one of the breakable bricks where the two buzzy beetles are. Made an update to the level where I placed the P-Switch in a more visible place, and made it a generator in case the player accidentally tosses the P-Switch into the pit.
Also this episode was play tested before publishing on the forums page. It is playable, it's just really difficult, and yeah the level design is seriously dated.

I don't think so accept for crystalaska if there is one in crystalaska than I can't find it and if I could find it then that would only be 61 stars.

There's a hidden block that has a vine in it towards the end of Crystalaska at night.

Maybe add some coins to indicate that there is an invisible block?
