Issue with configured NPC

Postby baenyth » Thu Feb 11, 2021 2:42 am

Basically, I configured npc-476 (the wooden platform) to be shrunken down a bit and now for some reason it refuses to show up when I'm testing the level. It shows up fine in the PGE editor, and I've tried various things to get it to work (Changing the skin, changing the background, etc.) but it still doesn't. Any ideas on what's happening here?

Nothing to say unless you share screenshots of the changes you've made and whatever else you might find to be relevant.

Alright then.
Picture of the platform in the editor:

Picture of the modified platform, with all the offsets.

Hope this helps.

Thank you! This does help.
This is quite a tricky one since I presume it has to do with some internal jank, but I think I remember something about the width and height fields always assuming the existence of the respective other, and those glitching out if the other is not also overwritten.
Could you try enabling the height fields beneath each width field you have checked? You shouldn't have to edit the values within, just tick the boxes and save. To see changes within the editor afterwards, you can use the F8 shortcut to refresh the level.
