So we all should be aware, the long-awaited Switch port of Super Mario 3D World will be coming out 12th February, finally offering the chance for millions of people to pick the game for the first time.
Here is what we know so far:
Player's move faster than on Wii U
Players will be able to move in all directions rather than just 8
Cats can climb higher than on Wii U
A new photo mode, which is similar to SMO's, but will utilize stamps.
Amiibo Support, with brand new Cat Mario and Peach amiibo launching with the game, which unlocks power-ups
Cat Mario spawns the white cat bell
Cat Peach spawns a random power-up
A new jump dive move that allows players to start rolling from midair
Shadows and the x icons have been removed from the UI
Online Multiplayer has been added, both cooperative and competitive
A new Bowser's Fury mode which will add new content, a new, more open world game featuring Fury Bowser
Nintendo has also released this new site all about this Switch port. It is still under development, but it appears that the site will be used to release more information about the game.

Pretty odd reason not getting the game tbh.
tbh the only reason was the first one, but really, I would get hyped to buy, but the removal of the Cat Mario Jumpdive Chain... that would really be disappoiting to me and probably would prefer the old game to the remake

I'm not sure, but if Nintendo ruined the fun of the BLJ, and destroyed Cat Mario Jumpdive Chain in SMM2, it is highly probable that they'll remove it!

I'm not sure, but if Nintendo ruined the fun of the BLJ, and destroyed Cat Mario Jumpdive Chain in SMM2, it is highly probable that they'll remove it!
Nintendo never removed the BLJ for 3D all-stars, they just used the shindou edition of SM64 which never had the BLJ in the first place. The Jumpdive Chain was a glitch fixed for Mario Maker 2 because of Multiplayer Vs. As for 3DW + BF, Enjl predicted that a Switch port would retain the glitch because of a lack of incentive for Nintendo to go out of their way to fix it, although they're not gospel, and that prediction probably assumed a lack of competitive online multiplayer in the port, which has since proven not to be the case. So whether or not Jumpdive Chain will remain in place is probably dependent on how much emphasis is on the competitive multiplayer aspect of the game. I also don't know if SMM2's 3D World style would use the 3D World engine, or if those are separate things. If it is the former, then that means the 3D World engine was updated to fix the glitch for SMM2, and the updated engine would probably be used for SM3DW + BF, with the JumpDive Chain glitch already fixed a 1 1/2 years ago, regardless of the precense of absence of multiplayer (although since Enjl predicted the glitch wouldn't get fixed, that does imply that it is more likely that SMM2's 3D world style is not the same thing as the 3D World engine, since they would definitely have more knowledge of this stuff than I do).

Imo, this alone is not worth €60. to people who have yet to play this, This might be considerable. But I feel like this will just be an hour or 2 thing.

THATS SO COOL. One of my favourite all time games is being remade and has an extra story!?!? Can't wait to pick up and play it. It literally turns into oddysey in a way. Or sunshine for that matter. The game seems so cool and I am so ready to play and beat it.

Bowser's Fury has like nothing to do with actual Furries that joke got so killed in seconds.

SM3DW for Wii U was pretty good imo, don't see why this version won't do better.

Turns out, I might not be able to get enough $ to pre-purchase SuperMario3D World + Bowser's Fury off the eShop... Oh well.

Journalists and reviewers have started receiving copies of the game. This video below gives some more information about the changes in the port that is now a little over 2 weeks away.
