[Playable] Minecraft Steve - Yes, this exists, for some reason

I did this for whatever reason. Enjoy (and report any bugs you find)!
Download here!
How to install:
- Unzip the file into your level or episode's folder
- If you already have a luna.lua file, merge the two
- Ultimate Rinka will now be replaced with Steve
Note: this also adds a "steveDestroyingTime" txt property for all blocks. If greater than or equal to 0, will act as a multiplier to the destroying time, or if -1, will make it so that the block cannot be destroyed (like bedrock).
(Eclipse did a video about this.)

This is interesting. I remember watching you make this on Discord and I was confused and thought it was merely a challenge you took to practice some aspects of coding in SMBX. But here you are and you definitely left me stunned.
Do you plan to expand upon this by the way? Include beds, or any other elements from Minecraft? It'd be kinda cool to have a 2D Minecraft in SMBX, our little Terraria project. =P

I've considered things like ender pearls (which I might add in a future update) but anybody else is free to make a graphics pack or something like that.

I have decided I'll give it a try in The Invasion 2, and I'm already stuck on Floating Brick Niche. Those fire piranha plants really hate me. Also, I found that the character does not work with those SWM keyhole exits. Either way, I'm enjoying so far.

Heh, yeah, I also tested it on The Invasion 2. A good way of dealing with the fire piranha plants is dodging their fireballs with a block placed directly underneath yourself, and then you can take them out with a sword swipe. Regarding the keyholes, I suppose you can just mine the block underneath it. Oh, and if you want a challenge, you can beat all of grassy grasslands without placing blocks (minus the exit).

Okay, thanks! I also noticed skins within the directory. How are these accessed?

Near the bottom of steve.lua, there's steve.skinSettings. The skin can be changed from there.

Are you telling us that we can play as our own custom Player Skin?
'cause if so, that's one of the best things I've heard from this Playable (besides the mining/placing aspect of it).

This is nice. Now all we need is for Eclipse to make every single Minecraft mob into an npc pack.

Yep! Any skin works (just make sure it's the 1.8+ format, meaning it's 64x64 rather than 64x32).

Does It support 1.8 second layer?

Nice. I have already tried it, and it's pretty cool.
The lack of a good jump makes certain levels more difficult (for reference, I'm using The Invasion 2).
Any plans for potions, and/or tools?

Only the "hat" works.

Great! This code is very nice, I will try to change the skin and use one custom.

Looks like this broke with the new patch. I get this error upon switching to Steve, and everything seems to
work fine after that, but Steve and dropped items are all invisible.
