Muting Sound Effects?

I'm just in the making of my World 6-Castle for MH1.5 and I wondered if there away to mute Soundeffects created by Events from a for Example a prior Boss Fight? Of course they go away when diening and respawning at the Midwaypoint after the Boss Fight, though if the Player doesn't die, it kinda ruins the immersion of the next level passage.
