This looks like they should just be BGOs? It's not like a single level will need each of these.

Not quite. There are two. One is a BGO, one is an NPC. And since we have an invisible NPC now that can be given dialogue, the benefit of the SMW NPC sign is lost.

So the only point of NPCs to talk to would be for the animation, then.

If you write custom code for the animation, yeah. Movement would be a more common thing I'd reckon. Simple animation can be done with bgo config by setting the frames count.

Rooms.lua temporarily breaks signs when transitioning between rooms. This error is caused by the sign, not rooms.

Hey there, Jaden1291 the Toad here, creator of the original SMW Custom Sign graphics. I appreciate you using the graphics for this NPC Pack. It's really cool to see some of my custom assets still being utilized for a variety of things nowadays.
