This image is old, but my desktop is practically the same as the pic, only difference is that it's pretty messy right now

I was taking a semester long Java programming course, but the semester ended and I'm (trying) to teach myself C# online instead now.

C# rocks. I would just make sure you know your way around programming logic before delving too deep into it (if you took a Java course that probably helped a lot).

It's kind of amusing how this topic went from Desktop Pictures to Computer Science, and then to programming languages. Not that I'm against those things.

C# is really nice. Coming from VB.NET and having a little past experience with Java. I see alot of similarities between both languages and I like actually having the squiggly brackets around my code unlike VB.NET.
But anyway back on topic. Here's my desktop. Cookies if you know which YouTube channel the background inspired.

My Windows Shitsta running with a Windows XP/Windows 98 hybrid. (Right click the images and click "Open Image in New Tab" so you can see the full screen.)

I'll take a picture of my Windows XP Virtual Machine and maybe my Windows 7.

C# mops the floor with Java when it comes to performance, elegance and stability on a Windows machine. I like it, I just like languages that aren't case sensitive more. I especially like languages that can be easily read in english, like VB.NET and Ruby.
Anyway, I took a screenie of my tablet's homescreen but I had to do take one using my laptop's low res front camera; there are no good screenshot-taking apps on the app market.

That is true that C# has better performance (so far in my experiences, and my world manager was coded in VB.NET btw) but it's just so much easier to get a cross platform app up and running using Java. However, I hear mono's getting better support with every update (but Winforms apps still look like crap on a GTK desktop) but this may all change in the future.
Also yes, VB.NET is very nice on human readability until you get some really complex stuff going; then it's just like every other language sadly
