[SMBX2] Fred's GFX Pack

Fred's GFX Pack

Made this GFX Pack some days ago.

It contains Tilesets,NPCs,BGOs and Backgrounds.
all the sprites were made from scratch, no recolors except the bone koopas.

This GFX pack contains custom BGO GFX (BGOs range 751-1000)

I see you tried a "16-bit Mega Drive/Genesis" style level Background for the forth screenshot of this GFX pack! And kudos for making the tiles and BGOs from scratch.

You have some potential when it comes to making graphics. I recommend tweaking the colors a bit more (some of them look a bit washed out), watch out for obvious pattern repetition in the fill tiles, and toning down the noise for tilesets such as the sand. The polka dot tileset also looks pretty busy as well. Aside from that though, not bad. Keep it up!

Looks fantastic, at least to my untrained eye. I'll certainly look into using these.

The only thing I'm really worried about is the sky in the "Rocky" tileset. While it wasn't on SMBX, I've tried pixel gradients like that in the past, and they never really looked good to me.

Other than that, I'm loving what I see! There is an odd tile in the middle of the "Snowy" tileset, but that's a minor thing. It's easy to work around that.
