The Princess Clichè 2

Welcome to my first full length episode! I have been playing SMBX for years but I finally decided to go on the forums not long ago, and got to work on an episode to make a name for myself. As it is very obvious, this is meant to be a sequel to Redigit's The Princess Clichè made way back and is included with almost every version of SMBX. I have played that episode at least 50 times by now, in both 1 and 2 player mode with friends and family. I thought it would be a fun idea to make a sequel, even though I'm aware that episode has some mixed opinions(mostly with the final boss), I tried to make mine the best it could be. Anyways, all the info you need will be down below.

Screenshots Credits Download So if you want to play my episode, here is the story. Following the events of the first Princess Clichè, King Bowser has traveled to the Star Heaven to seal the door of his castle shut with their power. Along the way, he accidentally knocks a few stars down below, 16 to be exact, across the kingdom. After sealing his door shut and kidnapping Peach instead of Daisy, Bowser will not expect Mario and Luigi to be gathering these fallen stars in order to save their princess for the final time.
While the original Princess Clichè used many different graphical styles, primarily Super Mario Bros 3, in the sequel I tried to use only Super Mario World graphics, obviously this makes it more limited so I borrowed a lot of graphics and sprites from Valtteri's Return to Dinosaur Island. If your reading this and you don't want me borrowing your graphics let me know and i'll remove this episode. I also built this using the Legacy editor just to be in the same fashion as the original. I put a lot of time into this to try and imitate the same feel, so I hope you enjoy it at least a little bit. On that topic, my episode is not very long, taking about the same time as the original, which is around 30-40 minutes if you play quick like me.

Thanks for checking out my post, I hope to make more if you guys enjoy this. I included a 100% .sav file with the zip but if there is enough demand for a longplay video I would be more than happy to record one. Every level has a star to collect except 3/4 of the secret levels, adding up to 16 stars and 20 levels.

So this is for 1.3 right? Might try it later this day, could be fun

Sure! I have made some progress and I already got some stuff to talk about. But I wil point out everything after I complete it.

Wait... isn't the updated "The Princess Cliche" that comes with 1.3.0.1 and SMBX2 referred to as "The Princess Cliche 2"?

We don’t talk about the bad cliche episode with the bad boss battle.

That may be a nickname I’m unaware of, but all games refer to it as just The Princess Cliche.

Bowser bowser never forever after

Whenever I hit a power up block, the game give me an anotherpowerup error and a fire flower. Do you use anotherpowerup for the cape?

I'm using SMBX Beta 4 patch 4, by the way.

Anyone still here?

I can improve something. please make the 1st player spawn to the right of the 2nd player so that I can get the powerup
