SMBX2B4 lag

So after I got my computer fixed I tried beta 4 and everything works fine (no graphic or testing errors like before) but the entire game is permanently lagging and it's uncomfortable to play this way. Regardless of which part of the game I am (main menu, level, world) the game is always lagging

Open task manager and check how much memory it's using. When running The Invasion 2 it should be about 158.4 MB. If it's higher than that, you've probably got a problem. Also in task manager click on the memory field at the top of the screen and see what's taking up the most memory on your computer.

I checked task manager and I'm aware I can clean up memory by ending processes, but I'm not really sure which ones I can end cause I'm afraid I would break something...

May I send a screenshot so you can help me?

Yes, cause I watched some YouTube tutorials yesterday about how to clean up memory and even if I do all the steps the game is still lagging (as well as other stuff in the computer aside from SMBX)

I can only run SMBX 1.3 again

and I don't know when I will get another computer but might be this year

Sounds like we are in the same issue. Some parts of SMBX just cannot run such as Darkness.lua for me. Recording also causes lag for me, but I think that is a natural thing?
