Yeah, as we've seen with other people before, making a leaving announcement like that is pretty pointless. Usually, it's better to leave unannounced, and then announce your return instead.

Elbow just returned January 9, & said "I always look back at SMBX and the community fondly. Happy that thousands of people enjoyed this episode, and my graphics pack over the past 10 years. Happy to come back here to preserve the history. " He uploaded his and Ace's old episode Super Mario Eternal Chaos, and seems to plan to reupload his graphics pack since the link is broken.

How do you know? Are you in contact with him?

Hi, Elbow here. I started in the original SMBX forums back around 2009. And I was involved for around 3-4 years. It did a lot for me, and led me to becoming a Terraria beta tester in the early days (before i got kicked for not reporting enough bugs haha) I am happy to see that the episode and graphics pack have left a legacy. To this day I still see my mushrooms and other graphics floating far and wide around the mario communities. Super cool. I don’t really stay in touch with anyone from SMBX now days. I’m 24 now, finishing college, and investing in stonks. Hope all is well, PM or whatever if you wanna chat, ill try to pop in here and there.
