Recoloring in a batch

Postby FanofSMBX » Sat May 17, 2014 1:26 am

Is there a way to recolor a tileset's files all at once?

With sizables you have lower problems but with a single tile, you have to do them each single one. You can make every tiles like they are merging each other so you have every tiles into one working picture but after you are done you need to put them back to the place you have cut them before... and that results to a lot of time.

Open an entire tileset in Paint.NET at once (because it can do a whole bunch of tabs), and then open another graphic that has the colors you want to use. From there, use the color picker on one shade, Tolerance 0, then apply the color to its proper place on each tile in the tileset one by one until you've done it to all of them. It's a process that must be repeated a few times until you've changed every shade, but once you have it set up, the process is basically just "switch tab, click color, switch tab, click color".

Wow to think I've never thought of this, one quick look at this and I've found it's possible through a batch converter, just takes a minuit to find the colors you want.
