I was in a middle of the work of my episode that calls "Castle of Fantasies and Wonders" it's an episode that is like New Great Castle Adventure and the castle which is the hub of coures, is disigned as castlevania graphics and enemies.
But I dont sure if it's really dead maybe I will continue it after a while..

Super Mario Redemption was dead too, but I don't know what happened.
Luigi's Exclusive Expedition died also, at least until its revival in 2020. I wonder what its status is now.
Super Toad Bros. X was canceled as well as Super Wario Land X, Super Mario 1X which got on indefinite hiatus instead, and Super Mario Nova which was also canceled.
You know what upsets me the most, the cancellation of Super Star Magic Adv- Oh right, it got deleted due to plagiarism. I'm pretty sure its creator got banned permanently from the forums too.
Don't bother going to look. That page is GONE gone… forever. And the creator of that page probably got a permaban with NO chance of appeal so he can't recreate it. Right?

Off the top of my head - Super Luigi Star Expedition (Chad's take on New Super Luigi U) and the Apocalypse of Foroze 2.

That episode is not dead at the end, I finished creating it now and published it:

Super Luigi Star Expedition (Chad's take on New Super Luigi U)
This was going to become a thing? I'm intrigued to visualize how this could have worked.
Anyways...
Boss Rush 10.0: A collab between Airseus, FanofSMBX, and FlyingBrick. What was presented looked infinitely more interesting than what 99% of the YT boss rushes did. Most of the people who worked on it besides Airseus aren't active on the forums anymore.
TSRP-X: As someone who loves anything TSRPR, I was really hoping it would see the light of day. The project quietly died.
Super Mario Bros. 1X: I remember when the minus world update was new. It's going to be six years old... Where did the time go? SMB1 is a style that overall doesn't get enough love. Seems to have quietly died too.
Super Mario Legends: Part II: This episode would've featured 37 levels, including h2643 and SM7's CC11 levels. The project got canceled because SM7 lost motivation for SMBX.
And ack, I was reminded about Mosaic's projects... :<

Funny how I named mostly the same things back then, but yeah Lowsers Conquest is also a thing I completely forgot about
This project is still being in development, mainly because Sednaiur has a very small amount of free time, and his main job steals a lot of power, so, he is able to work on the stuff on vacations or days off once he has the mood. Additionally, he desired to rebuild the thing from the ground up because of architecture mistakes that make gameplay being long and complicated with explained reasons.
Anyway, I do like this project a lot, and I still keep his old demo I used for my tests, and I took his BETA version that I had turned into the assets pack for TheXTech that works great.

Super Mario Legends 2, by SuperMario7.
Super Mario Twilight, by Bren23, I was waiting for Bren to return to SMBX, but it seems that he ended up abandoning it, I have contact with him on Discord, and he told me that he is very busy with personal things.
The Unknown World Adventure 2, by Bren23, the same thing, he left this project in about 2012, and I collaborated with some levels, I have saved one of the demos with 49 levels, I would like to continue with this project honestly, since the story was unfinished.
New Super Mario Galaxy X - Remaster, by Spark, I also have contact with him, I could ask him what happened to his episode.

I always wanted to see Airship Attack 2 out. I had a lot of interest in playing it as the original AA is one of my favorite episodes ever.

I took a sneak peek at the latest state of AA2 before the ban. It really wasn't too great ...

Super Mario and the Moon Curse, by flagpolethreeup/Flagpole1up
Started in 2018, this project looked really great, it had nice graphics and a some great features. But we don't know anything of it other from the screenshots and a video. Flagpole1up hasn't made any progress of it since its first topic, which makes me think that the episode was canceled

I think the issue overall was, that people praised it to be a good looking episode because it was made by someone who had a Name for themselves here!
We had that incident a bunch of times with various other projects that ended up being not that great.
