Hey, so for level of the month, I was thinking about avoiding putting in any of the CCXN1 due to technicality reasons and instead just put the top X amount of levels into level of the year qualifications.
What does everyone think as I would like feedback on what to do?
I think the top 5 would be a p. reasonable amount to put in imho.

How do you determine the Top 5? If it's based on vote count, it's bad for levels in months with less voting activity. Otherwise it would also be a subjective thing.

Based on the scores of the judges. Still not sure how judge levels will be treated in that if the judges do make levels though.

huh I completely misread. Thought this years LoTY would just consist of 5 levels overall. Nevermind me.

Would it be wise to give any CCX1 level that got above a specific score the spot of the "Level of the Year"?

sancels should win level of the year because "those unwilling to listen" is perfect social commentary on the year as a whole.
kaizo start symbolizes our struggles throughout the pandemic
math quiz is emblematic of exams
the tight darkness section shows just how hard social distancing is
waiting 12 minutes is the perfect metaphor for quarantine. the koopas that come up are stray encounters with people not following the guidelines
the getting over it section highlights the tightrope we walk on a day to day basis
the larry koopa boss fight shows how little reward we often get for our efforts
the dead end section shows all of life's dead ends
and then the level doesn't even conclude
it may not be a good level, but it's art.
