Super Mario Bros. 2.5

So yeah, after some time experimenting with the editor (again) and doing random levels, I decided to start my first episode.

It's basically going to be both SMB2 and SMB3 themed, and I'll try to mix these two as much as possible and make it fit. I'll try to make it more interesting with a few personal touches here and there, though. There are going to be two playable characters: Peach and Toad.

Story

I'm still working on it, but it won't be anything overly complicated, and I'll try to keep it similar to most Mario games's plot. I'll try not to go with generic stuff like "Bowser kidnapped a random princess, go save her!", though :P

Progress

I've started it recently and don't have much to show, so here's a screen of level 1. It might look a bit flat from the screen, but it's the start of the level, and considering most Mario games are a bit linear I don't see any problem with it personally.

Which aeon are you? If you're one, you've made Lots of Levels, and if you're the other, you've made Shy Kingdom: the Land that never Was.

This is the real AEON aka. Purple Rex. After checking his GFX Pack, this account was responsible for the hybrid tilesets, so this is the real Aeon. It looks funny seeing Masked Koopas in a Subcon level, why is this?

Yeah, I'm the one who made Lots of Levels, and was previously known as Purple Rex.

Also the Mask Koopas are part of the (still incomplete) plot :P

I like the ?-Vases. They look pretty cool!
You should place some coins, though. Maybe in the ground, but definetly alongside your path.

Hey, this looks very nice. I really like those graphics you used especially by those Vases... I think that Snake is facing upward like a Piranha Plant so I find this very neat. Looking forward to your future uploads...

Also if you search for episode "Super Doki Doki World" it's kinda like this episode.

Since the project is set in the world of Subcon, Aeon added a new species of Cobrat that go up and down, left and right in warp pipes, and they are green. Don't worry about that.

The cobrats still clash with the environment due to their lack of an outline. I suggestyou, Aeon, give the snakesnake a grey outline instead of the merely recognizeable dark green one.
