I made the Original SMB1 Overworld background.





Credit to everyone!

Um.... Is this "Custom" background really a custom Super Mario Bros. 1 16-bit overworld background? It looks the same as level background #11, just without the clouds!

You didn’t “make” anything. You literally just removed the clouds from the original SMB1 background...

I know. But I still wanna make the Original SMB1 Background without the clouds. Because in the All-Stars version, i noticed the clouds are now removed. So, I still made this.

You meant you still "Edit" it? That's what the picture looks like to me

I haven't played it myself so idk if I'm being entirely accurate, but I think that the background you've got here is actually the one from Super Mario All Stars?
As a reference, the original SMB1 1-1 background can be seen here: Speaking of which, I don't believe that many backgrounds from the actual SMB1 have been imported. This is mainly because the graphic style of All Stars fits more with the overall style of SMBX compared to the original SMB1.

Anyway, I like the look of this, and it'd prove useful when creating an SMB1 overworld without the need of clouds floating around.

Are these semantics really that important? I've never seen anyone get this pissed over recolours, and recolours are similarly easy to do. Doesn't make them any less useful.
