SMBX2 Freezes

Hey, so i've been using SMBX2 months ago, but when I reinstalled it, Im getting new problems. Whenever I create a new file or load NPCs, tiles, etc. the game freezes for a minute or so, and its really frustrating having to wait so long to do simple actions. Any help?

Does it freeze forever, or does it successfully load eventually? Does your PC have good performance otherwise?

It loads eventually, but after a minute. This never happened when I last had SMBX2
