Yeah yeah, I know that we got plenty of time left until the awaited date of Super Mario's 35th anniversary (September 13), but screw it. Let's all talk about some of us SMBX members share our own predictions of what (Nintendo) is gonna plan/announce/release on September 13 this year! I'll start, because why not zoidberg?
Mah 2 Predictions:
A new Paper Mario game that's hopefully good as Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
A Nintendo Switch HD Remastered of the Gamecube masterpiece, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door

Imagine a 2d Mario game, but with all the original ideas that come with the 3d Mario games. Also yeah, a new Paper Mario would be pretty cool. We might also get Odyssey 2? Galaxy 3? A 3d World port? Some HD remakes? There're way too many possibilities. Whatever they do will be great, though.

Lego, and Mario. Two classics that could actually go quite well together. I wonder if it would look better with the classic SMB1 palette or the modern colors?

It was just a thought. We know it would look like with the modern colors, but there's no reason to be ashamed about using 1985 Mario for something.
With that, I'm leaning towards something related to SMB1 Mario, but it's just hard to leave it to my own imagination. Some examples of when Nintendo really surprised me are with the Wii, Amiibos, and Labo; at the time, I didn't think anyone would try anything like those. I'm certain Nintendo will surprise me again.

I hope those rumored remasters of the 3D games are actually a thing.

Yeah that would be pretty cool. Realistically I just can’t see all of them being released at once, but I’d be satisfied if they remastered 64 and Sunshine.

Honestly, I don't believe the leaks, but I hope I'm wrong. I guess I'd also like to see Galaxy 1 and 2 in HD.

3D World I can also definitely see being remastered for the Switch considering of a majority of the Wii U library have already been ported or remastered already.
