I think, there are should be some old levels made for it, but I may guess just people aren't so interested to make new battle levels, however, if you are interested, you still can try to craft a new one
EDIT: here is an archive of battle levels, maybe I'll collect them while some of they are still be available and not broken...

If you are interested, that no matter what other people are interested: just make that you are interested, you can share that between friends or find people who are interested in this also

Okay, just now I did a small work to collect a rest of community-made battle levels in one archive:

Some of them got dead or never published, I made a list of them. However, other rest now is collected in one ~100 MB archive.

Yes. I don't see a lot of people playing the battle mode in SMBX.

I was told about that archive above, also, I did picked-up all survived levels into a single pack:

there are some levels are no more available due to a broken link or were never published (author of the post didn't posted a level itself).

I'm pretty sure the lack of support of battle mode in beta 4 also contributes to the death of this mode. But then, again, it was never popular to begin with.
