3. Camera Lock system for World Map editor

If I may, perhaps I can offer a few suggestions:
  • Star Coin Doors: Just like how you unlock doors by collecting a certain number of stars. The value set is the total number of star coins needed to open the door. It would offer another option of progression besides stars.
  • Some More Bosses (for the sake of convenience): Flying Boom Boom and the remaining Koopalings from SMB3, Iggy/Larry and Morton/Roy from SMW, Crocomire and Ridley (Possibly) from Super Metroid, Carock, Mazura, and Thunderbird from Zelda 2, Baby Bowser (First Form) from Yoshi's Island.
  • A toggle option for spin jump: For those who want to make levels without the ability to spin jump.
  • Camera Lock system for World Map editor
  • An option for infinite lives for your episode
  • An option for an SMB3 Styled Map System
IDK If y'all been working on any of these, but it would be cool nonetheless. Regardless, I can't wait to see what the full release has in store.
Kraid, too. After all, Metroid Dread. Samus should also be redone to be more like Super Metroid (or maybe even Zero Mission).

I'm working on Big Bertha right now if that helps. And Lil Sparky is just a reskin of the regular SMB2 Spark or Spike Top.

Thanks.

yes i know but it still isn't "Exactly" the same. i mean we got several of similar types of enemies in there already such as smb1 and 3 goombas and koopas so just seems like we should have em all in there.

Lil' Sparkys can be spin-jumped on and don't have varying speeds, unlike SMB2 Sparks, which have fast and slow versions.

We also need Star and Star Coin signs, which require said collectibles to be plucked from the world map.

Perhaps the devs just want to finish the game and give us the full release sooner.
Whenever the full release of SMBX 2 is ready for download: I'm "very" looking forward to it. :)

Development is taking long because everyone unexpectedly got really busy with other things.

I would like to thank again those who are working on SMBX 2 for this work.

Different things take different time. :)

I found a problem while I tested a custom level. The transparent foreground water is above the testing menu. The remainder blocks(tiles) are behind the testing menu.

Edit: The foreground water affects the HUD too.

I would like you to make Bill Rizer as one more character, with his movements, weapons and so on, instead of being a variant of Samus Aran, please. :"3

I'd love it if the Metroid, Kirby, and Zelda stuff was expanded, and for Samus to be more like Super Metroid.

Hello everyone and a happy new year. :)

I would like to friendly ask if it is possible that the full release of SMBX 2 will be ready for download this year.

If this is not possible, then of course I also like to wait longer and with pleasure for this version of SMBX 2. :)

I'm thankful to everyone who is working on SMBX 2. And of course: Different things take different time. :)

With this message I just want to show my pleasure for the full release of SMBX 2. :)

SMBX 38a uses a completely different engine, so I don't think that's very possible.

Direct compatibility probably wouldn't work, but conversions might be possible if only NPC etc IDs are different. The "Create NPC" function is a different story, though...

the main problem is that both levels which rely on 38a-exclusive features and certain levels which take advantage of 38a's different physics engine would be impossible to beat in smbx2. while it wouldn't be impossible to implement certain compatibility toggles for these kinds of things, the payoff (not having to open a separate exe file) is a bit lackluster compared to the work required.

Please add the dash pepper item. Mario can eat it and gain more speed, and even run on water.
This is my suggestion

I have been playing through for the first time, and I noticed an oversight with the run buttons. If I hold one of the run buttons while with the tail suit where I can swing, I cannot swing with the other run button until I let go in the original run button.

It is minor but still think it is good to bring up none the less

So apparently autoscroll is broken if triggered in the middle of a section. Triggering it via function onEvent(eventname) causes it to immediately snap to the end for some reason. I'm guessing this is a relic of how it worked in 1.3, in which triggering it in any way other than an autorun event would cause it to break.

Autoscroll has always been broken. It's best to use autoscroll.lua.
