If you want to use them, you have to purchase a full version of Game Maker Studio. It's not our problem you don't want to. Either purchase it, or DON'T complain.

If you have 7zip installed, you can use that to open the .gmz and dig through the files to find the sprites you want.

No, you used to have to pay for the engine (or, rather, the app that manages the engine), now you don't. That was the whole point of Hello's post.

A new version is available for download!

What's new in 6.1?
16:9 Widescreen Default Resolution
New Powerup: Wall Jump Shroom
Various New Features: Bomb Bricks, Propeller Blocks, Blue POW Blocks, New Net Koopa and Piranha Plant Variations, etc.
Various Bug Fixes: This includes all YoYoCompiler related issues, so you can use YYC export options without encountering any problems.

I think I have 6.0 when it came out and I ran it on a cracked GM8 Pro. I didn't really understand how to use it or add in my own custom stuff so I gave up on it. I'm using SMBX anyways and with luna.dll and stuff, I can do a lot of things I would have went to Game Maker and this engine for.

Though I think Game Maker + Hello Mario 6.1 has way much more flexibility than SMBX will ever have now or in the future. I wish i knew how to implement a playable Bowser and others on that as maybe my episode would be on there instead of SMBX.

  • Seven New Powerups: Added Acorn, Cloud Flower, Rock Shroom, Pyre Flower, Swooper Suit, Karate Suit, and Super Crown.
  • All Seven Koopalings: Added Morton, Iggy, Roy, Lemmy, and Ludwig.
  • Various Bug Fixes and Tweaks
