As the name implies, this is the 4th Music Guessing Contest on the forums with Video Game songs used in it.
I was originally going to put this up in early February but I've already collected and cut the songs (even if not in the best way possible) so I decided to put the thread up.

There are 50 songs in the download link, including 2 intruders. This time however, a noticeable portion of the songs are from Flash games, at least 5, but there may be more than that.

The songs will be in 4 difficulty categories.

• Beginner: these songs will be easy to recognize as they are from widely-known video games.
• Intermediate: the franchises might be well known, but the games the songs are from are not exactly obvious picks. They might alternatively be an iconic standalone game.
• Advanced: Rather unknown games. It's not impossible to recognize the source but it'll surely require experience with video game songs.
• Expert: checking playlists is no use... your only chance is if you've watched videos of these games or if you've played them as you probably don't know about these games' existence even... Good luck with these!

The way points will be calculated:

• 1 point if you guess the series the game comes from correctly (2 if you are the only one to know the series)
• 2 points if you guess the game correctly (4 if you are the only to guess the game correctly)
• 4 points if you guess a song is an Intruder (7 if you are the only one to guess whether it's an intruder)
• Difficulty levels will be used for tiebreaking

Hints: you can use 3 hints this time, but each hint works differently

• Ask for a black/white screenshot from the game
• Ask for a piece of information regarding the game
• Ask for the full version of the song

General Notes:

• There are 2 intruders (songs which are not from a video game)
• There are no video games which appeared in the previous contest but there may be games that were in the ones before
• The "1 game per franchise" rule generally applies but isn't set in stone for the contest
• If a song is a remix of another one, the correct answer is not the original source, but the one the remix is from.
• If there are multiple franchises with similar character rosters, they count as different game series (eg: Paper Mario and Mario Kart are different game series)
• Spiritual successors do NOT count as part of the original series
• Most but not all music tracks start in the middle of the song rather than the start

Prize: the winner gets to host the next contest, starting from No. 201

Well Private Messages (preferably on Discord but forums are fine too) are the way to sbumit and there isn't much to discuss.
